BUILDING UP YOURSELF FOR GREATNESS

Nobody was created naturally a failure or a loser or a victim. These ugly circumstances and events are self-made, man-made or society-made. Everyone was created a champion, but it does not manifest automatically. It has to be activated. It has to be unveiled!! It has to be ignited!!! It has to be stimulated and set in motion. God has done and finished His part in our success story, the rest is ours to complete. YES, in the eyes of God, you are good, you are great, you are successful, victorious, productive and relevant. He has deposited all it takes to manifest these characters in all of us, we have the raw material it is time to produce. He will not do that for us, we have to get to work under His guidance though. He has set the table, it is our choice to eat what is set under His table ethics though.

The ball is no longer in the Lords court, but in our court. It is our turn to play or hit the ball rolling. God will never do for man, what he can do for himself. Sometimes, prayers are not necessary to generate certain results, but actions do. It is our primary responsibility to build up ourselves for greatness. IT IS IN YOU... IT IS IN ME... LET’S GET IT OUT FOR THE WORLD TO SEE AND ENJOY. 

Friend, if you want to change the world, first change yourself. You can be the successful man or woman you have dreamt about. You can be that influential man/woman you have envisioned. You can be that philanthropist you have sincerely desired to become. Oh yes, you can be the YOU that God created you to be. I believe that everybody can be successful, but the level of success will differ... everybody can be rich and wealthy, but the level of riches and wealth will differ. God has made all things perfect for us, but the glory of this perfection will not be revealed until we work it out. For instance, according to Titus 2:11: the grace for salvation has appeared or made available to the entire world (male and female, rich and poor, white and black races, the young and old alike). However, everyman who must be saved must WORK IT OUT with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Do you understand the point now? Good! Greatness is in you, show it.

To be the best, you must pay the price. A man (Johnson) asked his 9 years old son (Stow), who he wanted to become, and he said: “I want to be the best athlete”! Two days later, at 5:00 a.m., the man called out to his son who was still snoring and rolling on the bed. Stow woke up and feeling disappointed that his dad could mind interrupting his sweet early morning sleep, looked at the wall clock and said: “Dad, it is just 5:00 a.m., and we are on holidays, I am going nowhere today, please I want to sleep.” Johnson, walked up to him, sat on the edge of the bed and smiled at Stow, tapping him on his shoulder. Immediately, Stow sat up with frowns on his face, but his father asked him: “Boy, what did you tell me you wanted to become?” Stow answered: “the BEST athlete” he reiterated.  “Now listen to me” said Mr Johnson, “if you want to be the best, then you must do what the rest is not doing. While others are still sleeping, you have to be awake, building up your dream and the greatness in you. While others are playing, you have to be working on your skills. To be the best, you must distinguish yourself from the rest in all perspectives of life. You can’t be the best athlete by still being on the bed at 5:00 a.m. you have to go extra miles in order to be the best.” This time Stow was fully awake and catching the ambience of greatness his father was creating. “Let me tell you the truth son,” Johnson continued, “if you truly want to be the best athlete in your life time, then you must wake up at 5:00 a.m. every day to build up your stamina. Champions are not made in a day. They don’t just emerge; it is usually a result of long time of previous trainings, hard-work, discipline and display of persistence. Everything is possible for those who not only believe, but take actions. Join me at the parking lot, if you want to be the best.” Mr Johnson stepped out to put on his boot for morning joggings. Stow was already charged up by the intriguing words of his father. He jumped out of the bed, put on his jersey and dashed out to join his father. They continued to jog long distances on daily basis, until it became a pleasurable habit to Stow. Hey! The beauty of life can be better defined by those who believe in their future. At the age of 21 years, Stow had become a champion in the world of sport, achieving lots of medals and prizes. He told his story in one of the world Olympic Games, were he emerged the fastest athlete.

You see, success is always within the reach of those who go for it. There are three basic things and more in this story, which we need to learn: Mentorship, Vision or purpose, Action or hard-work and Persistence. I will pick on these virtues in my next post. Till then, keeping succeeding!

DON'T GIVE UP!

Never you ever think of giving up in life. No matter how bad a situation presents itself, if you will is strong enough, you will surely overcome. Unless you believe in yourself, nobody can believe in you. Unless you believe strongly in your vision, the needed resources to reach it will never come to you.

DO NOT GIVE UP! 

Yes! It might be terrible with you right now, you might have lost everything you had, you might have more often than necessary faced untold disappointments, you might have been completely written off by you family and friends, but DON'T GIVE UP!

Tell yourself every day that you can make it and that you will make it. As you continue to affirm these truth, your subconscious mind picks them up, registers them, believes them, gets conditioned by them and eventually pushes you in the direction that leads to the fulfillment of your dreams. Who says it is not possible? Even if that is what you believe, you have only succeeded in believing a lie.

IT IS POSSIBLE! DON'T GIVE UP YET!

Life may not always be easy for you, but it is for a moment. No situation is permanent, CHANGE alone is constant. Every ugly state you find yourself is a passing phase. It is however very important, how you handle it.

How you handle you current conditions testify of how badly you need a change. Fear means you are not worthy of the future. It means you are not yet mature, Quitting means you do not have integrity. Giving up on a dream as laudable as yours, means you are "faithless". It means you have nothing to live for. It means you do not have what it takes to live (suggesting you were never born).

But of course, you are a living being, that means you have a future, a glorious destiny, a purpose and a duty to play in bringing sanity, hope and peace to the world. This is the TRUTH. But if this is true, why would you give up? Why would you quit?

I tell you the truth: YOU CAN RISE AGAIN. Stop looking at your unfavourable situations and start looking at the solutions, the way forward, the prospects of your destiny, your potentials, your talents and your abilities.

There is something you can do about your current state in other to improve it.

DON'T GIVE UP!

PURSUE YOUR DREAMS!

Hey! Have you ever asked yourself, what exactly you are doing on the earth? Why were you born? Why did you come from your current family? Why are you where you are at present, doing what you are now doing? The things that happen to you, why are they so happening? Have you found out why you think the way you do, laugh the way you do, feel or talk the way you do? What about the things you indulge yourself in more frequently, why do you? Think about these things!

Friend, you have an identity that is entirely unique to you alone. You are on earth for a purpose. You are not an accident, even if you were born by unmarried parents. God allows everything that happens under the heavens for the greater or ultimate good of man. So, it does not matter how you were introduced into the world, but it is undeniably significant. Why were you birthed by unmarried parents (if that is your case), it is very important you know that. Your answers to the above questions or your findings about the very many issues raised above, will sure enable you unveil your purpose.

The key to self-discovery is self-examination. It is time for you to lunch on the roller skater, but first, who are you. Let me inform you that you have a life to live. You do not have to be like your friends or even your role models. Refuse to be another man, refuse to be a second hand person, be yourself, be the original that you are, live out your dreams.

What are your dreams? This is a million dollar question. Have you found your dreams? Some people are unfortunately just busy living the dreams and lives of other fellows. Life cannot reward you if you are not following your dreams. Guess what! Your dreams reveal your ultimate purpose in live. No man can truly find happiness and joy by living a life without definite dreams. Your dreams will keep you going. men without purposes or dreams in life, are bound to die prematurely. You only live on when you have found out a purpose to live on. Your dreams will reveal to you, your ultimate purpose, and your purpose will give you a dream.

You cannot afford to be stagnant, if you have found your dream/purpose, then pick it up and start moving. Who says it can't be achieved? Every dream is achievable! It is possible, if you pursue it hard and long enough. The events around you are the products of your dreams, whether consciously or unconsciously. If you dream must come to pass, then you must believe strongly in it, even when nobody else does. I have come to realize that, you do not need the permission or the approval of men to succeed. Once you have discovered god's purpose for your life, and have created a set of goals to match, you are good enough to turn your life around positively. You may need the supports and cooperation of men to succeed, but you do not need their approval. Once God has approved you, men will no doubt recommend you. But unless you approve yourself, no man will approve or recommend you. Sometimes, nobody will be ready to help you until you have started up something. That is how it works.

I dare you today: PURSUE YOUR DREAMS! Never you give up, giving up is always the inception of failure. Those who pursue their dreams will always find help along the way. That is how nature has arranged it. You will never find any help unless you have started the journey. Tell yourself everyday: I HAVE A LIFE TO LIVE, I HAVE GOT A PURPOSE FOR MY EXISTENCE- I CAN'T AFFORD TO DISAPPOINT GOD AND MAN, I HAVE A DREAM TO PURSUE- THEREFORE I CAN'T AFFORD TO BE LAZY AND IDLE, I HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT TO FULFILL, I HAVE GOT SO MUCH POTENTIALS WITHIN ME - I CAN'T AFFORD TO LET THEM LIE FALLOW. I AM WAKING UP TO DUTY HENCEFORTH, MY LIFE MUST COUNT. I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME. I WILL PURSUE MY DREAMS!

When you make such affirmations daily, you will find inner strength welling up within you, and that is the greatest energy you require to fulfill your dreams. This is your chance, if you fold your hands, destiny will pass you by. Get on the move! This is your time, if you miss it now, you MAY not have it again, or at least not as easy as it would be now. Whatever you tell yourself is always true even if they are lies. whether you think you can do it or cannot do it, you are right all same. But the ultimate and eternal truth is that YOU CAN PURSUE THAT DREAM AND FULFILL IT.
