Well, it is no longer news that some weeks ago there was a change of power in the leadership of the NYSC. where Brig. Gen. Sule Kazaure assumes the office of the Director General of NYSC. Just few days ago, precisely on Wednesday the 27th of April, 2016, his supposed first national assignment flagged off with the opening of all the NYSC Camp sites nationwide. The opening ceremonies have been observed and the "swearing in" exercise was done yesterday, marking the transition from being prospective corps members to fully blown corps members on national duty.
However, as against the former and usually practice where doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical laboratory scientists and all other medical and para-medical experts were deployed to fascinating establishments whether medically inclined of not; it has reached our awareness that this time they are most likely to be deployed to IDPs where unarguably, their services will be valuable and much needed. This, I guess is a step in the right direction towards consolidating the efforts of the government in rehabilitating and addressing the welfare of the concerned.
