Following the outbreak of the highly contagious and dreaded EVD (Ebola Virus Disease), the FG gave a directive that all schools (especially the secondary and primary schools), should put a hold to resumption until further notice. That was an attempt to contain and impair the spread of the disease. However, seeing that to a large extent, the EVD is under strict check and control i nNigeria, the FG has given a go-ahead to all schools to reopen come the 22nd of September, 2014.
